Four Officers Hospitalized After Two Shootings

Four police officers in California have been hospitalized in two separate shootings Thursday morning.

The first incident occurred at around 7:08 AM in Huntington Beach when officers were called to a man with a knife who was slashing tires. During the incident, the officers were injured and responded by shooting the suspect.

The exact nature of the injuries was not released. Both officers and the suspect were transported to the hospital.

At around 11 AM in Sacramento, two police officers were shot near 27th Avenue and Franklin Boulevard.

The officers responded by shooting the suspect. The suspect’s condition was not released.

Both of those officers have been transported to the hospital.

All four injured officers are expected to survive.

The shootings come as memorial servies are being held for Sacramento County Deputy Bob French, who was murdered in a shooting on August 30. Two other CHP officers were also shot in that incident.
